Footpath clearanceThe Rights of Way deptartment of Hampshire County Council is conducting an update of seasonal vegetation clearance of all footpaths. We are required to nominate the most used 6 Foot paths in our parish that may need clearance during the growing season so please let me know which paths you feel are most in need of attention. The Hangers Way is already a priority route so this only applies to the other FP’s. We also have a volunteer group within the Parish who will undertake some of this work from time to time and if you would like to join this group then please contact me. The foot path behind the church and into the fields beyond, the bramble roots have not been removed when the new gate was fitted so it is a trip hassard, the next 2 gates will require the nettles to be removed. last year it was impossible to use this path unless you wanted to get stung.
The volunteer group will deal with these problems during the growing season. I am sorry that the nettles caused difficulties last year but hope that you have found the kissing gates to be an improvement.
