2010 is our Diamond Jubilee Year.  It is hard to believe that The Worldhams WI has been meeting every month for the last 60 years.   Some special events are planned for later in the year to celebrate this special year.

Members braved the cold weather in January to meet at ‘Selborne’, chat and listen to Olwen Long describe the work of the Chase Hospice for children and the charity, Help the Heroes.  (By the time this is printed, it is hoped that there will have been a successful table top sale at East Worldham Village Hall to raise money for Help the Heroes.  In February members were treated to a very enjoyable talk on Jazz by Julie Horton entitled ‘And All That Jazz’ and in March Christine Salter will talk about ‘The Seven Ages of Women’.

We have been pleased to welcome several new members and we hope that they will enjoy our meetings and social events such as the Pie Night to be held at The Three Horseshoes on 3 March.

The Worldham WI belong to the National and Hampshire Federation of the WI.

The meetings are varied. Some are educational, and some are more for entertainment. We try to make each evening a social occasion. Please see the event calender for exact details etc.

The WI meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month except August and December. Meetings are held  in East Worldham Village Hall at 7.45pm unless other wise stated. We welcome visitors.
